Founded back in 2012, Union Distillers was created by engineer and gin enthusiast Mark Gamble. Often found tinkering away in his workshop, it was only a matter of time before these two loves combined – and so ‘Gerard’, our very first, bespoke copper still was built.

‘Gerard’ is a small but incredibly mighty 30 litre pot still with a short bubble plate column, producing small batches of just 100 bottles in any one distillation cycle. Combined with our unique distillation process and quality ingredients ensures each batch tastes as good as the first. With the ensuing increased production requirements, we added to our family of stills, yet staying true to our artisanal ethos – our stills are all built by hand by our Master Distiller and designed in the same manner as ‘Gerard’.

Hatched back in 2012, Two Birds Spirits is our award winning range of handcrafted spirits. Since its launch, our collection of artisan Gins, Vodkas and Absinthe can be found far and wide across the UK and have gone on to win a number of national and international awards including; Double Gold at the CWSA; Double Gold at the San Francisco Spirit Competition; Gin of the Year at the Craft Distilling Expo.

As an independent, family run distillery we understand the complexities and costs involved in bringing new products to market. With our knowledge and expertise of small batch distilling we offer companies and individuals the opportunity to create their very own bespoke spirits. We produce spirits for an array of clients including both branded and own-label products. Our clients range from hotels & pubs, such as Amber Taverns, to internationally recognised brands like Fortnum & Mason.

In 2016 we opened up the doors to our ‘Gin Workshop’, offering the opportunity for you to spend the day discovering the art & science behind craft distilling. We help guide customers through the process of creating their own unique blend of gin, which you can take away at the end of their visit.

Please note the gin workshop is currently closed.
